The Game House is a fully themed, one-of-a-kind stay where the games never stop — from the vintage board game feature wall that stops guests in their tracks the moment they walk in, to the hundreds of games stocked in the closet, to the life-sized Monopoly board in the backyard. Every room has been obsessively detailed, right down to the game-themed bathroom and the custom New River Gorge countertops in the kitchen.

And yes, there's an escape room.

The escape room: Solve your way through a Battleship-themed puzzle room — designed to be fun and completable for the whole family, with QR code hints if you need them. Finish it and you'll crack open a treasure chest full of prizes to take home.

The space: A beautifully renovated second-floor home above a 4-car garage, on a quiet dead-end street in Oak Hill. The living room has a 75" smart TV, Nintendo Switch, Blu-ray player, and a sofa big enough to spread out on. The backyard has a BBQ grill, fire pit, and yard games including NRG-OPOLY — a full life-sized Monopoly game where you and your family are the playing pieces. Blackout curtains throughout mean you'll actually sleep.

EV charging available — Emporia Level 2 10 kw charger with J1772 plug or use the 14-50 plug.

Self check-in, fast WiFi, and plenty of off-street parking. Pets welcome with a fee.

Just next door: The Wizard House is right next door and the 80s/90s Nostalgia House is three doors down — perfect if you have a larger group that needs more space.

Before you even arrive: We'll email you our favorite things to do, see, eat, and explore in the New River Gorge area right after you book. We're partial to the biscuits and gravy at Tudor's Biscuit World — a short walk away and not to be missed.

The New River Gorge National Park is 15 minutes away, with hiking, rafting, rock climbing, and zip lining. Ace Adventure is 10 minutes out.

Good to know: You have full access to the home. The garage below is ours — but we'll give you access if you need the washer and dryer.
